## Impact

System properties are used in the configuration and customization of the platform. They allow to control the system behavior, such as defining system settings or enabling/disabling certain features. Modifying system properties in a ServiceNow instance have potential impacts on: System Stability, Performance Issues, Service Interruptions, Data Consistency, Integration Challenges etc.

## Remediation

Periodically review changes in the sys_properties table, updating the last review date by editing it in this rule.
