Learn about the main features and controls of a Quality Clouds view.
New to Views? #
Use this interface map and the numbered sections below to familiarize yourself with the main View tools and controls.

Platform and instance navigation #
This is where you can access all your SaaS platforms and instances connected to Quality Clouds.
Click an instance to open its information.
Click to access help.
Click click to go to Admin portal. Remember only admin users will have access to all sections, normal users and project users will have restricted access.
Instance information #
This is where you can see all your instance and org information, including name, ID, URL, edition, and type of environment.
View selection #
Here you can switch between data views and views.
Check your user profile, change your password and logout #
This is where you see your Quality Clouds account details. Use it to change your password and logout.
Enable the two-factor authentication when accessing the portal for a better security.

Get the gist via compacted widgets #
Compacted widgets appear on most of the views and highlight the most important facets of your data.
They are usually composed of the following:
- main metric
- previous scan information
- baseline information
- trend (over time)

help icon.

View tabs #
Some views have information displayed over several tabs.
Click on each tab to display it.
Select scan date, set the time period and print a PDF #
Select a scan date or date range to display information for the period of your interest.
Filter the issues by closed, open or all and show the written off issues using the toggle.

From here you can also print a PDF of the current view. It’s available to download in SVG, PNG and CSV formats too.
Filter data #
This is where you can filter the information displayed below on different view types (graphs, trends and grids).
Once selected, the filters are maintained when switching to different view type.
One or more of the following filters are available, depending on the view:
- Severity – High, Medium, Low, Warning
- Impact Area – Manageability, Performance, Scalability, Security
- Issue Type – this is a type-ahead filter that let’s you choose one, many or all different issue types
- Application – lists all the applications available on your platform
- Developer – lists all the developers working on the platform
- Show written off – Yes/No
- CE Type – lists all the configuration elements (CE) depending on the platform
- Package Type – Developed, Downloaded
- All CE Types vs Only Customization
Select the
Clear filters to clear all filters.
Change data display #
This is where you can switch between various info display options.
Depending on the view, you can see:

- graphs
- trends
- grids table
Interact with the graphs #
The main portion of most content tabs displays a graphical view of your data. Here you can see information displayed on pie charts, bar charts,
The graph controls include:
- select by legend
- hover the mouse over the graph

Interact with the trends #
The other type of data display is trend view. Here you can see line charts, or multiple line charts.

The trend controls include:
- zoom in, zoom out, reset zoom
- download SVG, PNG, CSV
- hover the mouse over the trend
- select by legend
Work with the grids #
The other type of data display is gird view. This is the most complex and comprehensive view.
You can do the following actions from the grid:
- sort the grid by columns
- configure the table with the table configuration functionality
- change the amount of items per page (10, 25 or 50 items per page).
- navigate to next and last page of the results
- download the information
For some grids you can use the Send CSV to my email which creates a CSV file from your displayed grid and sends a copy to the email you used to create your Quality Clouds profile.
