What is QC Copilot?
#
QC Copilot, part of Quality Clouds’ DevOps suite, is an enterprise-ready, AI-powered real-time code validation solution integrated into the IDEs of ServiceNow and Salesforce.
It helps platform owners and architects maintain consistent coding standards by integrating controlled AI into the development process. For developers, it empowers teams to fix issues instantly boosting speed and productivity while learning from the best practices curated from Quality Clouds’ extensive repository.
Prerequisites (only for ServiceNow): #
- API Key: An API key is required; otherwise, an error will occur.
- Customer with Add-On Enabled: In the ‘Application Configuration’ tab, a new tab labeled ‘QC Copilot’ has been added. The QC Copilot functionality operates as an add-on and needs to be enabled for use. Before enabling it, the customer must first import the configuration.
- Livecheck Capability: Ensure that the customer is capable of performing live checks.
→ How to enable QC Copilot Add on?
- Log in ServiceNow.
- Search for Quality Clouds in the Application Navigator.
- Navigate to App Configuration within the Quality Clouds App.
- Go the QC Copilot tab.
- Import Configuration and make sure the QC Copilot Active button is on.

How does QC Copilot provide a recommended code fix? #
When QC Copilot provides an AI-recommended fix, it is presented in two distinct sections:
- Fixed Code Box: This box displays the recommended code changes that address the identified issue.
- Remediation Description Box: This box contains a detailed explanation of the issue, including what occurred, the reason for the error, and how it will be resolved. It provides clear guidance to help understand the problem and the steps involved in fixing it.
- You can provide a rating for the recommended fix.

How to use QC Copilot? #
For ServiceNow #
- Go to the ServiceNow platform
- Go to an Element with issues.
- Open an issue.
- Use QC Copilot for AI-generated recommendations:
- Click the ‘QC Copilot’ button to receive an AI-generated solution for the issue.
- A pop-up window will display the suggested fix.
- Review the solution:
- Examine the recommended code changes.
- Rate the solution if applicable.
- Copy the provided code for further use.
- Click the ‘i’ icon next to the ‘Element’ field to preview the associated record.
- Modify the code:
- Open the record and navigate to the ‘Advanced’ section.
- Make the necessary code modifications based on the recommendation.
- Trigger a QC Livecheck.
You can also use QC Copilot from the back end of ServiceNow
For Salesforce #
- Log in Salesforce
- Search for Quality Center on the search bar and click on it.
- Click on Configuration Element tab
- Select a date.
- Use the filters to refine the issues displayed below.
- Click on one of the elements to view detailed information about the issues.
- A pop-up with issue details will appear.
- Click the QC Copilot Fix button.
- Copy the recommended fix code (only if the suggestion is applicable).
- Paste the code into the element’s source.
- Run a QC LiveCheck scan to refresh and update the results.
