What can you do in the Schedules section? #

In this tab, you can schedule your scans for automatic launching. This feature allows you to track the evolution of your technical debt through Full Scans.

This is a Quality Clouds admin action, available for admin users in the admin portal.

Your license comes with a limited number of scans. We recommend that you set your full scans every week or month, and your profiling scans every week.

Note: You can only set one schedule per each scan type, i.e. one profiling and one full scan schedule

What does each item show? #

  • Status: Indicates whether it’s active, inactive, or expired.
  • Schedule Name: The given name for the schedule.
  • Instance Name: The name of the instance.
  • Period: Time which the schedules are active.
  • Description: Displays details of the schedule.
  • Scan Type: Type of scan that has been scheduled.
  • Last Scan: Date of the last launched scan.
  • Actions: Users can edit and eliminate the schedule.

Scheduling a scan #

You can also add on by clicking Add button.

→ How to edit a schedule?

  1. Log in QC platform.
  2. Access to admin portal.
  3. Navigate to the ‘Schedule‘ section.
  4. Click on the ‘Add‘ button.
  5. A new schedule window opens.
  6. Fill in the New schedule form.
    • Add the name for the schedule.
    • Select the instance.
    • Select the type of scan.
    • Decide how often you want to launch an scan (monthly, weekly, daily, once).
    • Add the scan time depending on your location (Europe/London).
  7. Click Save.

The default time zone of the Quality Clouds application is based on GMT+1 time. In order to schedule scans in your timezone, make sure you factor in the difference.

Editing and deleting an schedule #

You can use this section to manage all your instance schedules. In this window, you will be able to edit the details of the schedule and delete a current schedule.

Status functionality #

In the ‘Schedules’ section, in the ‘Status’ column, you are able to monitor the status of the schedule according to your needs. If you have an active schedule, you can deactivate it using the status toggle, and vice versa
