What can you do in the Rulesets section? #
In this tab, you can find the default rulesets provided by the Quality Clouds experts to ensure a better code quality. You can configure and customize these rulesets in this section.

What does each item show? #
- Rule ID
- Source: Indicates the platform of the instance.
- Configuration Element: Specifies the configuration elements that affect the issue.
- Created On: Shows when the rule was created.
- Description: Describes the rule.
- Severity: Indicates the severity level of the issue (high, medium, low, warning).
- Impact Area: Identifies the area affected (security, scalability, manageability, or performance).
- Time to Fix: Provides the estimated time required to fix the issue.
- Doc: Links to the documentation site.
- Status: Specifies whether the rule is default or customized.
- Type: Categorizes the rule as pro-code or low-code.
- Actions: Include options to:
- Edit rule.
- Ignore rule.

- Log in in Quality Clouds platform.
- Go to the Admin portal.
- Click on the “Rulesets” tab.
- Use the filters to locate your instance and issues.
- Select one issue or in bulk (more than one issue).
- Execute any action needed.

Editing a rule #
When editing a rule, you can modify the level of severity and adjust the time to fix to solve the issue. Remember that changing the time to fix will directly impact the technical debt.
In this tab, you can view the impact and the actions needed to resolve the issue.
→ How to change the severity or time to fix in a default rule?
- Log in QC platform.
- Access to Admin portal.
- Navigate to the “Rulesets” section.
- Choose the specific instance in which you want to change the severity and/or time to fix.
- In the “Severity” field, change the severity and/or in the “Time to fix” field, change the time.
- Click Save.

Ignoring a rule #
With the ‘ignore rule‘ action, you can choose to ignore a rule that exists in the rulesets for future scans.
→ How to ignore a rule?
- Log in QC platform.
- Access to Admin portal.
- Navigate to the “Rulesets” section.
- Find the issue you want to ignore.
- Click on the ‘ignore rule‘ button.
- Click on ‘Confirm‘.
- The ruleset has been updated.
