What’s New for You #

Improved #

Admin Portal

We’ve added a validation to prevent activating Auto Approved Write-Offs if there are pending Write-Offs. An error message now guides users to resolve pending Write-Offs first.

    PMD Version upgrade

We’ll upgrade to PMD version 7.8.0 on January 29th. This update enhances detection capabilities, improves code issue accuracy, and reduces false positives with refined rules and advanced analysis.

This upgrade also lays the foundation for creating more advanced and practical rules in future releases.

Please note this PMD upgrade will not alter the Quality Clouds Ruleset—no new rules will be added, and your ignored rules will remain unaffected.

    Rules
New – [ServiceNow] – Client Scripts should check for isLoading and return. #

Rule ID: SN-CHECK-ISLOADING-AND-RETURN – Without the isLoading check in onChange client scripts, the script runs on every form load, causing performance issues and slower load times, especially with server calls. It may also trigger prematurely, leading to an inconsistent user experience.

    Fixed #

Livecheck Service Now App – Legacy issues showing in Active Live check issues #

Problem: A coding error disrupted the order of matched issues, causing Baseline issues to be flagged incorrectly.

Resolution: The issue was fixed by restoring the correct order of issues, and ensuring proper baseline flagging.

False Positives for rule SN-0096 #

The condition for Rule SN-0096 has been updated to use ‘getNameIfIsFromSNTable’ from the System Property object. This update ensures that no false positives will be generated.
